On March 3, a netizen who claimed to be an employee of Xibei Beijing stated that he received a salary reduction notice on February 25 and that his salary was delayed. After clearly rejecting the request, the company requested compensation for layoffs. However, the layoff compensation had to be paid in installments over one year. The employee refused again and asked for a one-time payment of compensation. Finally, the company issued a layoff notice and said, "If you don't agree, go to arbitration. Either accept the compensation in installments or be laid off."

The screenshot shows that if the store's cash flow is negative, wages will be delayed. From the perspective of employees, although they were promised repayment, the actual wages they received were less, which is called a "salary cut."

However, judging from the screenshot, only those with a monthly salary of more than 20,000 yuan will have their salary halved, and the impact with a monthly salary of less than 20,000 yuan is not that big. In other words, it basically only has a greater impact on high-paid employees.
The details of the delayed payment policy in 2026 are: 50% for monthly salary of 20,001 yuan and above; 80% for monthly salary of 10,001-20,000 yuan; and full payment for monthly salary of 10,000 yuan and below. The delayed salary payment will be made up within three months of July, August and September.
After looking at Xibei's recruitment information, the average waiter's salary is less than 10,000 yuan, so the monthly salary cut in half should not be a large proportion.

The employees did not agree with the layoff plan, and the layoff notice they received showed that in view of the recent sharp decline in the company's business volume, the company currently has no normal work content to arrange, and the company is facing huge losses. In view of this, after the company's research and decision, we are now notifying the layoff arrangements.
The waiting period is more than 5 months, starting from March 3, 2026 to August 31, 2026. During this period, waiting wages will be paid according to the local minimum wage standard (specific amount: 2540 yuan/month).

The employee said that he had a mortgage and had to support his family, so he really couldn't afford it. "They forced me to hold on for several months and lowered the average salary. The trick was really deep." He believes that the one-year installment cycle is too long and the risk is too high.
As of press time, the employee said that he had not yet reached an agreement with the company.
Regarding the news of delayed salary cuts, Xibei’s official customer service responded that they have not received relevant notifications yet and will record the feedback.
It is understood that in January this year, Xibei announced that it would close 102 stores across the country at one time, accounting for about 30% of its total stores, and involving about 4,000 employees.
Xibei’s store closures this time are mainly concentrated in first- and second-tier cities, such as Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, which are the “hardest-hit areas.” In Beijing, almost 10 stores will be closed.
