On March 4, the Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. House Oversight Committee has asked Bill Gates, billionaire Leon Black, and Goldman Sachs’ outgoing general counsel Kathryn Ruemmler to testify about their relationship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The House Oversight Committee is investigating the Epstein dossier. Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., chairman of the House Oversight Committee, sent a letter to the three men and four others who had dealings with Epstein on Tuesday, asking them to testify before the committee in the coming months.
The House Oversight Committee has been holding hearings on the Epstein case, including questioning former Presidents Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton last week. Cuomo said on Tuesday that Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick had agreed to testify before the committee in response to his dealings with Epstein.
Microsoft co-founder Gates recently apologized to Gates Foundation staff for his relationship with Epstein, admitting that associating with Epstein was a mistake while insisting that he had no role in Epstein's crimes.
A spokesman for Gates said that Gates would like to take this opportunity to testify before the committee. "While he never witnessed or participated in any of Epstein's illegal conduct, he looks forward to answering all of the committee's questions in support of their important work," the spokesperson said.
