Apple and the Sydney Opera House jointly announced on March 5, local time, that they will launch a new one-year cooperation project aimed at inspiring a new generation of creative talents in Australia and expanding opportunities for the public to participate in art, design and cultural projects. This cooperation will focus on young people and encourage young people to use digital tools in creative practice through a series of interactive courses and experiential activities.

Apple will also become the first founding partner of a new international children's arts festival launched by the Sydney Opera House later this year, and provide support for related projects of the Opera House's Center for Creativity. The two parties will also jointly explore how to enhance the opera house's existing programs and viewing experience through technological means, including trying new forms in visual presentation, creative processes, and audience participation methods.

According to the announced arrangement, from March 25th to 27th, a special light projection display will be performed on the "Sail" facade on the east side of the Sydney Opera House. The works used are from 10 emerging Australian artists, who all create by using the Procreate app on iPad. In addition to invited artists, the public can also participate through the free "Today at Apple" creative course, where they complete and submit works. Some outstanding works may have the opportunity to be selected to be projected on the facade of the Opera House, integrating with landmark buildings.

Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, said that over the past 50 years, Apple has been focused on "empowering creativity" through tools and platforms that enable people to conceive, design and share their unique ideas with the world. He described this annual collaboration with the Sydney Opera House as a continuation and tribute to this tradition, and emphasized that the core of the project "Illuminating Creativity" is to combine the talents of Australian artists with the power of digital creation tools such as iPad and Procreate to demonstrate the potential of technology in artistic expression and cultural communication.

For more details about this cooperation and related activities, Apple has released a statement on the press center of its official Australian website. Specific registration methods and project arrangements will be announced in the future.
