Recently, a number of e-sports players have used the unreleased Razer Viper V4 Pro gaming mouse in competitions, sparking speculation that the new product is about to be launched. Now, advance launch information from offline stores and online retail platforms has almost confirmed the existence of this new generation of wireless flagship mouse.

According to reports, a user in the Reddit community took a photo of the retail box of the Viper V4 Pro in a store. It was suspected that it appeared on the shelf early due to a staff placement error. Although the relevant post has been deleted, the picture quickly spread on the X platform. Based on previously exposed information, the Viper V4 Pro is more like an iterative upgrade based on the existing Viper V3 Pro. Its positioning is consistent with the previously launched DeathAdder V4 Pro, and it is a new flagship with fine-tuned specifications.

It can be seen from the exposed packaging information that the Viper V4 Pro will be equipped with the new Razer Focus Pro 50K optical sensor, Razer’s fourth-generation optical micro switch and Razer’s own optical scroll wheel. The entire machine weighs only 49 grams. Among them, the sensor specifications are still slightly upgraded compared to the DeathAdder V4 Pro, but other than this, the new mouse is basically consistent with the previous generation in other core parameters. The new product also uses the same efficient dome-shaped wireless receiver design as the DeathAdder V4 Pro, supports 8K polling rate, and claims to achieve approximately 180 hours of battery life in wireless mode.

It is worth noting that Danish computer retailer ComputerSalg has also launched the Viper V4 Pro product page in advance. Although there is no picture, it shows that a white color will be available upon launch, with a price of up to US$199 (converted from 1,290 Danish kroner excluding VAT). This price is significantly higher than the Viper V3 Pro and DeathAdder V4 Pro currently on sale, so the industry generally speculates that this price is either a placeholder price before the official release, or it corresponds to some special color matching or limited edition.

Based on information leaked from many parties, the new Viper V4 Pro is likely to be officially released in the next few weeks. However, in the high-end lightweight wireless competitive mouse market, it will have to face fierce competition from the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike equipped with the latest technology, as well as a number of Chinese brand gaming mice that have similar hardware parameters but are much lower in price than international brands.
