Apple officially launched its new entry-level notebook computer MacBook Neo this week. The official starting price is set at 4,599 yuan and is scheduled to be officially launched on March 11.As the lowest-priced notebook product in Apple’s history, MacBook Neo has experienced price cuts through third-party channels before it was officially launched. On Pinduoduo’s tens of billions subsidy channel, the price of this new product is directly reduced by 400 yuan, and the actual starting price is only 4,199 yuan, showing extremely high market competitiveness.

In terms of appearance design, MacBook Neo continues the classic aluminum metal unibody body and provides four fashionable colors of silver, peach pink, citrus yellow and indigo blue. Its 13-inch screen also makes it the smallest and most portable laptop currently sold by Apple.

In terms of hardware configuration, MacBook Neo is equipped with a high-performance A18Pro chip. This configuration is exactly the same as the iPhone 16 Pro series, marking the first time that Apple has used a top-level processor originally designed for smartphones in a Mac computer, achieving a deep integration of mobile and desktop architectures.
John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware engineering, said that the creation of MacBook Neo aims to allow more users to experience the charm of the Mac ecosystem at a more affordable price. He believes that this is a unique product that only Apple can create, with both powerful performance and ultimate cost-effectiveness.
The application of this kind of cross-border chip not only optimizes production costs to a certain extent, but also provides entry-level users with unexpected energy efficiency performance. As the release date approaches, this most user-friendly Mac notebook in history is expected to set off a wave of replacements in the education and entry-level office markets.
