Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo wrote:It is estimated that Apple’s MacBook Neo notebook shipments will reach 4.5-5 million units in 2026.This data demonstrates Apple's strong market appeal and will become the core engine of Apple's performance growth in 2026.
Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted,MacBook Neo will drive the total shipments of MacBook models to 25 million units in 2026, which is expected to increase by 20%-25% year-on-year, becoming the only growth highlight in the global notebook market in 2026.

Regarding the screen evolution path, Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple will significantly upgrade its high-end product line MacBook Pro at the end of the fourth quarter of 2026 or early 2027, when it will adopt a touch OLED panel for the first time.
In contrast, MacBook Air’s popularization of OLED panels is relatively late and is expected to wait until 2028 or 2029.
It is reported that Apple MacBook Neo officially goes on sale today. This is the first notebook in Apple’s history that is more accessible to the people. The official price is 4,599 yuan. After adding education discounts and state subsidies, the real price starts at only 3,310 yuan, and the price/performance ratio skyrockets.
This product focuses on youthfulness and portability in design. The body is made of aluminum alloy and is available in four colors: silver, peach pink, citrus yellow, and indigo blue.
The screen is equipped with a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with 2408 x 1506 resolution and 500 nits brightness, but it does not support True Tone display and P3 wide color gamut.
