According to reports, the US e-commerce giant Amazon plans to advance its "Prime Day" promotion to late June, which is a rare schedule adjustment for this ten-year-old important shopping event.

Prime Day offers deep discounts on a variety of items, including clothing and electronics, and the event coincides with the back-to-school shopping season, with parents and students eager to grab the deals.
The timing change will also move Prime Day sales into Amazon's fiscal second quarter, which typically ends on June 30.
Amazon's Prime Day event has always been held in July since its launch in 2015, but was paused in two years during the pandemic.
Last year, the event expanded from its usual two days to four days and drove online spending among U.S. retailers to $24.1 billion, a 30% increase from a year ago. The data above comes from Adobe Analytics.
