After releasing the desktop version of Arrow Lake Refresh a few days ago,Intel today officially released the Core Ultra 200HX Plus series processors for the notebook market.

This update includes Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus. Many mainstream PC manufacturers, including Acer, Asus, Dell, Lenovo, MSI and Razer, will launch new products equipped with this series of processors from now on, and more OEM products will be launched one after another.

Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus are enhanced versions of Core Ultra 9 285HX and Core Ultra 7 265HX respectively. They do not increase the number of cores or increase the frequency, but achieve breakthroughs through architectural optimization.

Like the desktop version, the chip-to-die interconnect (D2D) frequency of these two processors has also been increased by 900MHz, thereby reducing system latency and improving game performance.
According to official Intel data, in an average test of 32 games under 1080P high-definition settings, the game performance of Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus improved by up to 8% compared to Core Ultra 9 285HX;Cinebench 2026 single-thread performance increased by about 7%.

Intel is also targeting the upgrade needs of users of the 12th generation Core and earlier. Compared with i9-12900HX, the new processor's game performance has improved by up to 62%, and single-thread performance has improved by about 30% to 32%.

In addition, the new processor also supports the new Intel Binary Optimization Tool to improve the native performance of specific games.

Core Ultra 200HX Plus integrates support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and Thunderbolt 5 with bandwidth up to 80 Gbps.
