On March 18, TCL held its 2026 spring new product launch conference yesterday, launching three SQD-Mini LED TVs: Q9M Pro, T7M Pro, and T7M Ultra, as well as two 163-inch Micro LED giant screens, Max163M Pro and Max163M.
TCL proposed the concept of "picture quality iron triangle" at the press conference, believing that good picture quality depends on three core indicators: contrast, color gamut and peak brightness. SQD-Mini LED technology achieves the unification of the three through extreme light control, global high color gamut and extreme brightness. This technology has previously won the China Visual Association Science and Technology Innovation Award, CES 2026 Innovative Display Technology Gold Award and AWE 2026 Appleland Gold Award.
Q9M Pro is positioned as a light flagship, equipped with up to 3552 Vientiane partitions and adopts a full-link light control solution. Officials say the partition effect is equivalent to an RGB TV with 10656 partitions. The screen uses a super butterfly wing star screen, combined with high-concentration extremely colorful quantum crystals, to achieve 100% BT.2020 global high color gamut, and the color point accuracy is increased by 69%. The peak brightness reaches 5000nits, and it is equipped with TSR AI light and color control chip. Available in five sizes: 55/65/75/85/98 inches, the lowest price after the national supplement is RMB 5,000.
T7M Pro is positioned as a popular product, equipped with up to 1152 Vientiane partitions, and the partitioning effect is equivalent to an RGB TV with 3456 partitions. It is also equipped with a super butterfly wing star screen and 100% BT.2020 color gamut, with a peak brightness of 2200nits. In terms of audio, it is equipped with Onkyo's 2.1.2-channel Hi-Fi system, which supports sky channels and super bass. The 65/75/85/98-inch model has an entry price of 5,000 yuan after being supplemented by China. As an advanced version, T7M Ultra is equipped with 2176 Vientiane partitions, a peak brightness of 3000nits, and is equipped with Onkyo 2.1.2-channel audio.
Two Micro LED products, Max163M Pro and Max163M, are equipped with 24.88 million inorganic self-luminous chips to achieve true 4K resolution. The peak brightness of Max163M Pro reaches more than 10,000nits, and Max163M is priced at 249,999 yuan. TCL said that Micro LED products have dropped from the million yuan level in 2024 to the current price and are entering more households.
At the system level, all three SQD-Mini LED TVs are equipped with Smart Control System 3.0, which supports a native refresh rate of 150Hz and can turn on 300Hz with one click. They are equipped with 4-way full-blooded HDMI 2.1 interfaces. TCL disclosed at the press conference that in 2025, its TV sales will rank first in China and second in the world. It will rank first in the world in sales of ultra-large screens and 98-inch giant screen TVs over 75 inches, and its Mini LED TV will rank first in global sales for two consecutive years.
