On March 19, according to "Business Insider", three people familiar with the matter said,Zuber Mohammed, TikTok’s head of global consumer marketing, left earlier this month as part of a new round of layoffs across its global marketing division.

Business Insider has not been able to determine the scale of this round of layoffs. Mohammed, who is based in Singapore, will take over the role following the departure of global head of marketing Kate Jhaveri at the end of 2024. In addition to his responsibility for product marketing and user communications, he also manages the department, reporting to Zenia Mucha, global head of communications.

Muhammad is the latest executive to leave TikTok's marketing operations department.According to three people familiar with the matter, Sofia Hernandez, TikTok’s head of global commercial marketing and commercial cooperation, left earlier this month, and Rema Vasan, head of North American commercial marketing, also left recently.The commercial marketing department is mainly responsible for delivering information to customers such as advertisers and is part of the global commercial solutions team.

Other TikTok teams have also experienced leadership changes this year. For example, TikTok's global head of creators, Kim Farrell, left in January amid a reorganization of the company's content division.
