On March 20, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the Mac had just ushered in “the best first week in history for first-time Mac users.” This means that the newly launched MacBook Neo performed well among first-time buyers and users who switched to Mac from the Windows camp.

MacBook Neo was officially launched on March 11 (last Wednesday). In the US market, the starting price for ordinary consumers is US$599, and the discounted price for college students is as low as US$499. This notebook is powered by the A18 Pro chip version from the iPhone 16 Pro and offers new colors while retaining the traditional silver appearance.

At the same time, Apple also launched the new MacBook Air equipped with M5 chips last week, as well as the MacBook Pro series equipped with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, making this week a time when new Mac products are intensively launched. However, judging from the “first-time purchase user performance” disclosed by Cook, the more user-friendly MacBook Neo is likely to be the core driving force in driving a record number of new Mac users.

Driven by market response, there is currently a queue to order MacBook Neo through Apple’s official website in the United States. As of press time, the estimated delivery time for users who place new orders on the same day is scheduled between April 6 and April 13, covering all colors and configurations. However, some offline Apple retail stores and authorized dealer channels still have the opportunity to buy spot products earlier.
