According to CCTV News, today, relevant information about the 2026 Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon and Humanoid Robot Half Marathon was officially released. The competition will start on April 19, with human runners and robot runners competing on the same field. The organizing committee received a total of registration applications from 76 entities and more than 100 participating teams from 13 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country.It includes more than 80 corporate teams, more than 20 college and training camp teams; it brings together 26 brands and more than 300 humanoid robots.
According to the rules of the competition, the number of participating teams using the same model of robot by the same subject shall not exceed 3. The participating robots must be an independent whole, with a trunk, upper limbs and bipedal structure, and a height of more than 70 cm. The core movement mode is bipedal running. It is recommended that the hands adopt an integrated design.
All participating teams must submit qualification review materials, sign a competition agreement and participate in qualifying. The qualifying results directly determine the starting order of the main race.
It is understood thatThe event innovatively sets up two modes of entry: autonomous navigation and remote control, enabling competition on the same track, mixed timing, and unified ranking.
The autonomous navigation robot needs to complete the race independently after starting. Only when the battery is replaced, the backup robot is replaced, or when it falls and cannot recover independently, manual intervention is allowed after confirmation by the referee; the remote control robot is operated by the team members in the following car, and the long-distance remote control team can operate in the designated control center.
The robots start in two rows in a Z-shaped formation. The autonomous navigation team sets off first, with an interval of 1 to 2 minutes between rows. Overtaking must be done from the left, and it is recommended to keep a safe distance of more than 5 meters between robots.
There are 8 supply stations and emergency response points set up along the track. Battery replacement, robot replacement and other operations must be completed in designated areas. Referee assistants will simultaneously prepare safety fences; the closing time of the event is set to 3 hours and 50 minutes, and the track implements dynamic traffic management.
