As the old saying goes, all good things come to an end, and the same is true for games. Players have already discovered that they will feel a little uncomfortable after completing a game. A recent research paper was published in the academic journal Current Psychology, which for the first time revealed the so-called secret of depression after completing a game.
·Post-game depression applies the term Game to movies, TV series, and even long-distance travel. It refers to the short-term feeling of emptiness after an immersive experience.
·Although depression after clearing the game has long been known, the latest paper from the Institute of Psychology of SWPS University in Poland quantitatively measured the degree of depression for the first time. The team recruited a total of 373 volunteers over the age of 18 to conduct a long-term systematic and scientific test.

·The results revealed 4 causes of post-game depression:
Game-related Ruminations: In-depth thoughts and reflections related to games.
Challenging End of Experience: The psychological burden after the game is over.
Necessity of Repeating the Game: The dilemma of whether to play the game again.
Media Anhedonia: Happy immunity to other entertainment media.
·The interaction of these four factors causes players to almost inevitably develop depression after clearing the game, which varies according to the player's occupation, hobbies, psychological endurance and other indicators. Analysis points out that among many game types, RPG games that focus on narrative stories are more likely to cause it.
