After Samsung's first-generation 2nm GAA process is introduced to the market, improvements and iterations of the photolithography process will follow. Samsung is committed to further improving the performance of advanced processes in practical applications through technological optimization. According to industry reports,Samsung plans to complete the design of the Exynos 2800 processor within this year. This chip is a milestone because it is the first mobile processor equipped with Samsung's completely self-developed GPU, marking a key step in the semiconductor industry chain.

The latest technical report shows that Exynos 2800 did not adopt the more advanced 1.4nm process as previously expected, but chose to continue to delve into the 2nm process. Samsung's current core goal is to improve the yield and stability of the process, rather than blindly pursuing the most cutting-edge lithography nodes.
This chip, codenamed Vanguard, did initially consider the 1.4nm process. However, in order to ensure quality during mass production, Samsung finally decided to use the more mature SF2P+ node. This decision reflects Samsung’s semiconductor strategy changing from radical to pragmatic.

Judging from the technology roadmap, Samsung has completed the basic design of the second-generation 2nm process SF2P. It is expected that the Exynos 2700 will be the first to adopt this node, while the more powerful Exynos 2800 will go a step further and use the SF2P+ node of the third generation 2nm technology.
At the architectural level, the most eye-catching change of Exynos 2800 is to abandon the AMD GPU that it previously cooperated with and completely switch to a self-developed graphics solution. This deep level of low-level customization is expected to bring about exciting improvements in power consumption control and graphics rendering efficiency.
According to Samsung's product release rhythm in previous years, this Exynos 2800 chip, which integrates a number of self-developed cutting-edge technologies, will be launched on the future annual flagship Samsung Galaxy S28 series.
