As the iPhone Air opens the era of eSIM mobile phones in my country, other manufacturers have begun to gradually follow suit. In the future, when it is fully popularized, it will greatly facilitate users to change cards and phones. It should be noted that the current management of eSIM technology in my country is still relatively strict, mainly to prevent illegal and criminal activities such as electronic fraud.

At present, each eSIM mobile phone can open up to 2 numbers at the same time (including all operators). This restriction not only brings standardized management, but also brings troubles to second-hand mobile phone users——Many old users of second-hand eSIM mobile phones did not cancel the original number or replace the card in time before reselling the device, resulting in new users being unable to activate eSIM services normally after purchase.

To this end, China Unicom officially launched the eSIM query function, which specifically solves the pain points of second-hand mobile phone users activating eSIM. Users can clearly query three key information through this function:

First, whether the eSIM number occupation of the current device has reached the upper limit (maximum 2 per device), and quickly determine whether the device has a number that has not been canceled or replaced;

Second, whether the number of new eSIM connections within a month has reached the upper limit to avoid processing failures caused by frequent activation;

The third is the China Unicom eSIM number or number currently bound to the device. Other operator numbers need to be confirmed with the operator to which the number belongs.

Compared with the past, when users encountered eSIM activation failure, they had to go to the business hall multiple times and consult customer service repeatedly to troubleshoot the problem.This query function enables one-stop self-checking, allowing users to understand the device's eSIM status without leaving home, significantly saving time and cost.

Users can check the number of numbers bound to eSIM mobile phones through China Unicom APP-eSIM Zone-Other Services-Enter or scan the QR code to identify the eSIM mobile phone EID and IMEI that need to be queried to determine whether the eSIM number occupation has reached the upper limit, whether the new network connection twice a month has reached the upper limit, and the number of bound China Unicom numbers.
