According to reports, Irish actor Michael Patrick, who starred in the sixth season of "Game of Thrones" and was a screenwriter and actor, unfortunately passed away on April 8 at the age of 35.

Michael's wife Naomi Sheehan sadly confirmed the news on social platforms. She revealed that Michael was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND, ALS is the most common form of the disease) in February 2023. This is a terminal disease that has yet to be cured. It quickly attacks the nerves that control movement, causing muscles to gradually atrophy and become paralyzed, ultimately affecting walking, eating and breathing.

"Michael passed away peacefully last night at the Northern Ireland Hospice, surrounded by his family and friends," Naomi wrote. "No words can describe our heartbreak. He was an inspiration to everyone who came into contact with him, both during his illness and every day of his life."

Michael Patrick is a talented actor who graduated from Cambridge University and joined the famous "Cambridge University Footlights Drama Club" comedy troupe. In addition to impressing audiences on "Game of Thrones", he also co-wrote and starred in the BBC drama "My Left Nut", which was adapted from his true experiences as a teenager. His last work is the TV movie "Mordlichtern" which will premiere in 2025.

In February of this year, Michael posted on his social account, revealing that doctors expected him to have only one year left to live, but he still said at the time: "There are still many things worth living and many plans to complete." Unfortunately, the disease eventually took away this talented young man early.
