This skill has caused controversy. Some people think it can help students to a certain extent, while others think it is like consuming the dead.
On April 9, the customer service staff of the company where Zhang Xuefeng held shares during his lifetime stated that they would pay attention to the matter and conduct verification.
According to the skills package webpage, the developers extracted 5 core mental models, 8 decision-making heuristics and a complete "expression DNA" based on 5 books, 15 in-depth interviews with authoritative media, more than 30 first-hand quotations, 11 key decision-making records and a complete life timeline in-depth investigation. The project emphasizes that each response uses Zhang Xuefeng's specific mental model. It does not reread the quotations, but uses Zhang Xuefeng's cognitive framework to analyze the problem, and shows examples of the effects of multiple consultation scenarios. The webpage also lists other skills, claiming that each can be installed independently, including Jobs.skill, which specializes in product design and strategy, and Musk.skill, which specializes in engineering and other fields.
Before use, users need to install the skill and connect it to the AI programming assistant. Skill can be understood as a lightweight plug-in or specialized skill package.
On April 9, reporters found in actual testing that "Zhang Xuefeng.skill" has a certain installation threshold, and it can only be used successfully with the help of professionals. The page shows that the skill has been successfully installed and linked to Claude Code. When users want to analyze education and career issues from Zhang Xuefeng’s perspective, they can directly trigger it through keywords, and AI may give more direct and down-to-earth suggestions.
Regarding the question "Is an emerging major worth learning now?" the reporter asked the AI questions before and after installing "Zhang Xuefeng.skill" and found that the answers given twice were quite different.
