Recently, an AI skill package called "Zhang Xuefeng.skill" was launched online, quickly arousing heated discussions among netizens. The webpage shows that this is "Zhang Xuefeng's cognitive operating system". It is not a simple collection of quotations, but an operational thinking framework designed to answer questions such as college entrance examination aspirations, postgraduate entrance examinations, and career planning. This skill has caused controversy. Some people think it can help students to a certain extent, while others think it is like consuming the dead.

On April 9, the customer service staff of the company where Zhang Xuefeng held shares during his lifetime stated that they would pay attention to the matter and conduct verification.

According to the skills package webpage, the developers extracted 5 core mental models, 8 decision-making heuristics and a complete "expression DNA" based on 5 books, 15 in-depth interviews with authoritative media, more than 30 first-hand quotations, 11 key decision-making records and a complete life timeline in-depth investigation. The project emphasizes that each response uses Zhang Xuefeng's specific mental model. It does not reread the quotations, but uses Zhang Xuefeng's cognitive framework to analyze the problem, and shows examples of the effects of multiple consultation scenarios. The webpage also lists other skills, claiming that each can be installed independently, including Jobs.skill, which specializes in product design and strategy, and Musk.skill, which specializes in engineering and other fields.

Before use, users need to install the skill and connect it to the AI programming assistant. Skill can be understood as a lightweight plug-in or specialized skill package.

On April 9, reporters found in actual testing that "Zhang Xuefeng.skill" has a certain installation threshold, and it can only be used successfully with the help of professionals. The page shows that the skill has been successfully installed and linked to Claude Code. When users want to analyze education and career issues from Zhang Xuefeng’s perspective, they can directly trigger it through keywords, and AI may give more direct and down-to-earth suggestions.

Regarding the question "Is an emerging major worth learning now?" the reporter asked the AI questions before and after installing "Zhang Xuefeng.skill" and found that the answers given twice were quite different. When asked for the first time, AI analysis said: "This industry is really growing, the scale of the industry continues to expand, and talents are needed...but there are many problems." He also listed the problems in the industry one by one and made suggestions for choosing schools and careers.

After installing "Zhang Xuefeng.skill", the core conclusion drawn by the AI became: "X major is not recommended for ordinary undergraduates. The reason is that the employment scope is too narrow. What can you do after graduation? The contestants want geniuses, not graduates. The rest are operations, customer service, and business. You can do it regardless of whether you study this major; the school does not teach you It’s what the industry wants, and the industry iterates quickly. The school textbooks haven’t been printed yet, and the industry has gone through several rounds; if it can’t stand the social filter, how many positions on the recruitment website should be given priority to a certain major?” The latter’s AI answer is very similar to Zhang Xuefeng in style. The reporter also compared the answers of the other two groups before and after the installation, and the results were similar.

The publisher of "Zhang Xuefeng.skill" confirmed to reporters that this is equivalent to turning teacher Zhang Xuefeng into an AI (skill) that can answer students' questions, but did not respond to other details. A player who is proficient in AI projects believes that under this configuration, the AI's reply style will become very similar to Zhang Xuefeng.

The customer service staff of the company where Zhang Xuefeng held shares during his lifetime said that it is not yet clear whether Mr. Zhang Xuefeng has participated in similar AI research and development, and they will pay attention to this matter and verify it.

In addition, @fenxueweilaiwuliang posted an article on April 9 in response to the rebroadcast in the company's official live broadcast room, saying: "No matter in the past, present or future, the team will continue to provide pragmatic and reliable guidance for college students and families."
