According to CCTV News reports, in order to cope with the high risk of fires in the complex terrain in southern spring, recently,Two aircraft, 1102 and 1103, of the AG600, a large amphibious aircraft independently developed by my country, went to Guangdong to carry out forward stationing for forest fire fighting. They successfully completed their phased tasks and effectively improved Guangdong Province's aviation emergency rescue capabilities.
After the first AG600 aircraft was stationed, the team continued to carry out garrison training missions, realized rapid water injection operations on the ground in 6 minutes, and planned 36 emergency dispatch routes in Guangdong Province in advance; it conducted on-site surveys of core water sources such as Fengshuba Reservoir to ensure sufficient and reliable water sources for fire-fighting operations; it organized two cross-theater transfers in Shaoguan and Zhanjiang based on relevant work tasks, and comprehensively tested equipment adaptability and multi-domain collaborative support capabilities.

In order to improve its actual fire-fighting capabilities, the second aircraft of the AG600 transferred to Meizhou on April 1 and officially launched a two-aircraft formation garrison mission. This marked a key step for the AG600 from a single aircraft operation mode to a formation collaborative fire-fighting capability, and expanded the response range and water density of aviation fire-fighting missions.
During the garrison period, the two aircraft cooperated toA total of 34 flights were completed, with a total flight time of 76 hours and 46 minutes. Water-dumping training was conducted 52 times, with a water-dumping amount of 624 tons.

It is understood that the AG600 "Kunlong" is the world's largest amphibious aircraft under development independently developed by China. Together with the Y-20 and C919, it is also known as the "Three Musketeers" of domestic large aircraft.
The aircraft was launched as a project in 2009 and made its first land flight in 2017 and water flight in 2018. It will obtain the type certificate and enter mass production in 2025.
The aircraft has a length of 36.9 meters, a wingspan of 38.8 meters, a height of 12.1 meters, and a maximum take-off weight of 60 tons. It adopts a single hull, cantilevered single wing layout, and is equipped with 4 WJ-6 turboprop engines.
In terms of application work,It can draw 12 tons of water in 20 seconds, covering a fire scene of 4,000 square meters in a single injection; water rescue can be parked on the water, saving 50 people at a time, and can withstand waves of 2 meters. The maximum range is 4,500 kilometers and the cruise speed is 460 kilometers per hour.
It is mainly used for forest fire extinguishing and maritime rescue, and can be expanded to ocean monitoring, resource exploration, etc. The emergence of this aircraft fills the gap in my country's large-scale emergency rescue aviation equipment and is a key equipment of the national emergency system.
