A marketing campaign originally intended to give back to consumers has instead caused a crisis of trust. This is a classic promotional method that the brand has returned to after 17 years.
On social platforms, some consumers also shared their experience of failed redemption attempts five times.

Shortly before the event announced its resumption, Master Kong also released its 2025 annual performance report.
During the reporting period, Master Kong Holdings’ revenue was 79.068 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2%; the profit attributable to the company’s shareholders was 4.501 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.5%; the adjusted profit attributable to the company’s shareholders was 4.245 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.1%; the gross profit margin was 34.8%, a year-on-year increase of 1.7 percentage points.
It is worth noting that this is the first time in the past nine years that Tingyi Holdings’ revenue has turned from increase to decrease.
