According to news on April 11, according to Internet gossip, Huawei yesterday released the "FAQ on changes in severance compensation policy" and officially announced major adjustments to its employee severance compensation policy. The focus of this adjustment is on the compensation of employees who voluntarily leave their jobs. The core part of the original text is as follows:

1. Except for expulsion/dismissal due to violations of regulations and disciplines, employees who leave under other circumstances (including those who take the initiative) will enjoy N+1 severance compensation.

2. Termination compensation can be higher than legal regulations, including standard wages, benefit wages, bonuses, allowances, overtime pay, etc.

3. Compensation is capped according to legal rules

4. The payment of severance compensation shall be taxed in accordance with the law.

It is worth mentioning that it only took three days from the cancellation of employees’ voluntary resignation compensation N+1 to the restoration.

On April 7, Huawei released a FAQ on changes in severance compensation policy, announcing important adjustments to the severance compensation policy.

According to the FAQ content, except for employees who voluntarily resign and who commit serious violations of regulations and disciplines without severance compensation, N+1 severance compensation will be given in all other resignation scenarios. The calculation base and capping rules for severance compensation will be implemented in accordance with legal standards.

For employees who have worked for 8 years and have their license renewed, they still need to change their job numbers to simplify management. When an employee resigns, the company will pay a one-time severance compensation.

The FAQ shows that the adjustment will be implemented starting from employees whose attendance deadline is April 1, 2026 or later.
