recently,Honor is in contact with ByteDance on cooperation related to "Beanbao Phone".According to people familiar with the matter, before ByteDance cooperated with ZTE to launch the first-generation Beanbag mobile phone, its first contact was with Honor. However, due to its billions of users, any problems with the system-level bottom-level transformation could easily lead to large-scale complaints, so Honor was cautious about this at the time.

Because of this risk, mainstream mobile phone manufacturers can only promote AI mobile phones step by step and cannot achieve it in one step. However, the two parties have already established a basis for cooperation at the application layer and have consistent strategic directions.

Fang Fei, President of Honor Product Line, emphasized,Honor is one of the first mobile phone manufacturers to deploy device-side AI, and has deep technical experience in ensuring user data security through device-side computing.

At present, the industry has shifted from wait-and-see to active deployment. Industry insiders point out that it is difficult to bring significant growth simply by relying on the "involution" of basic configuration and imaging capabilities. Agent task execution capabilities driven by large models are becoming the next core competition point in the smartphone industry.

Leading manufacturers are accelerating the implementation of AIOS, and both manufacturers are stepping up the development of native system-level AI applications.

According to internal disclosures, Honor is currently actively investing in "calw lobster" related projects, and its layout in the AI mobile phone track has significantly accelerated.

However, there is also some cold thinking in the industry. Some people have become disenchanted with the AI functions of mobile phones. They believe that many AI capabilities are more like a means to cover up the lack of hardware upgrades. Instead, they are looking forward to improvements in basic performance such as battery life and storage.
