Recently, Mo Yan, the famous Chinese writer and Nobel Prize winner for literature, announced through social media that his new work "Ren Na" after 6 years has been officially released. At 3 pm on April 19, Mo Yan will hold his first book launch live broadcast on the Xiaohongshu platform.Mo Yan said frankly: "Like everyone else, I also like to watch short videos in my daily life. I often can't stop watching them. It's very addictive."
He often warns himself not to watch videos for more than half an hour a day, but it is often difficult to control it. He often finds that "it's broken and 3 hours have passed" while browsing.
So, Mo Yan thought about whether he could create a book that would allow readers to read his novels like short videos, and then he came up with this new book "Human".
It is reported that "Ren Na" is Mo Yan's first notebook-style novel collection, which contains 81 works. Each work is as short, relaxed and interesting as a short video. The shortest one is only 200 words, and most of the stories can be read in 5-10 minutes.
In the preface, Mo Yan wrote: In this day and age, even a 70-year-old like me has difficulty controlling the desire to watch videos. Please "refresh" my short novels just like you "refresh" short videos.
Mo Yan also said: "This book contains my insights and thoughts on life and human nature over more than 70 years."
