The high-speed railway from Xi'an to Ankang has officially entered the static acceptance stage. This new line with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour is one step closer to being opened to traffic.Xikang High-speed Railway is an important part of the national eight-vertical and eight-horizontal high-speed railway network. The new main line is approximately 171 kilometers long.Starting from Xi'an East Station, passing through Zhashui, Zhen'an, Xunyang, and finally connecting to Ankang West Station, the entire line crosses the Chan River and passes through the Qinling Mountains.
At present, key projects such as track laying, station construction, and four-power installation have been completed. The driving and passenger transportation equipment along the line have also been installed and debugged. The overall conditions have met the acceptance requirements.
China Railway Xi'an Bureau Group has established multiple professional working groups to conduct item-by-item inspections on all projects and equipment such as tracks, roadbeds, bridges, tunnels, power, communications, signals, stations, and fire protection to ensure project quality and operational safety.
After the static acceptance is completed, the dynamic detection phase will be entered, step by step towards the official opening.
After this high-speed railway is opened to traffic,The travel time from Xi'an to Ankang will change dramatically. Now the whole journey takes about 3 hours, but in the future it can be reached within 1 hour.
The Xikang High-speed Railway will connect the Guanzhong urban agglomeration and the Qinba Mountains in southern Shaanxi more closely, greatly shortening the travel time between the two places, making it easier for people along the line to travel, and will also promote the development of tourism, logistics and other industries.
