According to drone footage captured by Joe Tegmeyer, a long-time observer of Gigafactory Texas,More than 50 Cybercab driverless taxis have appeared at Tesla's Austin Gigafactory in Texas, and some of them have successfully undergone crash tests. The factory parking lot of the Texas Gigafactory is adjacent to the factory exit and is the main parking area before finished vehicle testing.

It can be seen from the drone footage that Model Y, Cybertruck, and an increasing number of Cybercab fleets are parked here at the same time.

About 50 Cybercabs were lined up neatly and densely throughout the park.

At present, most vehicles still retain steering wheels and pedals. This is a temporary device installed to adapt to current safety regulations and is used to accumulate real road data before the steering wheel-less design is approved.

Tesla has professional crash laboratories at its Texas and Fremont factories, and Cybercab is promoting crash testing in accordance with the industry's normal procedures.

This test site has been exposed as early as October 2025, and the Cybertruck also completed collision verification here.

The first mass-produced Cybercab rolled off the assembly line at the Texas factory on February 17, 2026.According to the plan, the car will start mass production in April.

Musk has said that the initial production capacity of the car will be slow, but will increase rapidly in the later period, with a target annual production of at least 2 million vehicles. Austin's commercial driverless taxi service is planned to be launched by the end of 2026.
