Siba Media issued an obituary today saying that its founder Wang Zijie died of a sudden cardiac disease at the age of 63.It is reported that Wang Zijie founded Jiuyou.com in 2003 and the girl group SNH48 in 2012.Previously, an old friend of Siba President Wang Zijie posted a message of condolence on social platforms. He wrote: "It was unbelievable to learn the information last night. I immediately called to confirm and found out that it was so bad that I couldn't sleep!"

He also mentioned that the two had known each other for more than 30 years. They had established a deep friendship at work and often gathered together. The sudden death of his old friend was something he could not accept.

Public information shows that Wang Zijie was born in Shanghai in 1963, his ancestral home is Ningbo, Zhejiang, and he is a Japanese Han nationality.

He graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Fudan University, and later received a master's degree in engineering from Doshisha University in Japan. He is currently the president of Shanghai Siba Culture Media Group Co., Ltd.

In 1987, Wang Zijie went to the United States to participate in computer game development. After studying in Japan in 1990, he joined the KONAMI Group and led the introduction of works such as "Heartbeat Memories" into China.

In 2003, Jiuyou.com was founded in Shanghai, and later launched casual online games such as "Audition" and "Audition".

In 2012, Wang Zijie founded the female idol group SNH48, which created the label of "four thousand beauties" and promoted its artists such as Ju Jingyi to become "top stars".

In March 2026, Siba Media reported that Ju Jingyi was suspected of tax evasion. The brokerage dispute between the two parties is still ongoing.
