"Starfield", which has been released for nearly three years, has been launched on PC and Xbox platforms, and recently launched on Sony PlayStation 5. Now there are signs that the game is also heading towards Nintendo's next-generation console Switch 2.

According to the latest report from the Brazilian media Universo Nintendo, the Taiwan Entertainment Software Rating Information Network has appeared the rating record of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of "Star Sky", suggesting that the game may be launched on the new console soon. Bethesda has not officially announced the Switch 2 version of "Starfield" yet, but similar leaks of regulatory or rating information have often proven to be "sentinel signals" before the game is about to be released.

The report also pointed out that the classification document did not give a specific launch date for the Switch 2 version of "Starry Sky", nor were there any details related to technical specifications or screen performance. The minimum configuration requirements for "Starry Sky" on the PC include an Intel Core i7-6800K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X processor, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 5700 graphics card. This threshold is much higher than the performance of current handheld machines, so the outside world is generally paying attention to what trade-offs the Switch 2 version will make in terms of resolution, special effects, and frame rate.

According to the running experience submitted by players on ProtonDB, even if the image quality is reduced to the lowest, FSR 3 is turned on and the resolution is scaled to 50% on the PC, many users are still difficult to obtain a stable performance of more than 30 frames. This also makes the industry remain cautious about the optimization prospects of the Switch 2 version.

Nevertheless, with the exposure of Taiwan's classification records, it is generally believed that "Starry Sky" will be launched on Switch 2. It is just a matter of time and final presentation. With Switch 2 rumored to be welcoming a number of third-party AAA masterpieces (such as "Elden's Ring" Special Edition, "Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy", etc.), if "Starry Sky" can successfully join the lineup, it will further strengthen the presence of Nintendo's new console in the ecosystem of multi-platform masterpieces.
