Demand for Apple's affordable notebook MacBook Neo has continued to surge since its release, and the delivery cycle on Apple's official website has been extended to 2-3 weeks. The Chinese official website shows that the expected delivery time for new orders is from May 7th to 14th. The US official website also shows a waiting period of 2-3 weeks, and the earliest delivery will not be possible until May 1st.

The starting price of MacBook Neo is 4,999 yuan domestically and $599 overseas. Equipped with the A18 Pro chip, it is Apple’s lowest-priced Mac notebook to date. Such an aggressive pricing strategy clearly shattered market expectations.

In the promotional video released yesterday, Apple specifically included a disclaimer, mentioning that the supply of the product will be subject to inventory, implying that the sales of the product far exceeded expectations, and the delay in delivery on the official website further confirmed this.

The current delivery bottleneck mainly comes from the production capacity constraints of the A18 Pro chip. Now the A18 Pro inventory has been exhausted. If Apple produces the A18 Pro chip for new orders, the cost is bound to rise.
