According to news released by Changzhou, the Photonmatrix portable laser mosquito repellent device recently launched by Changzhou Light Moment Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. has been launched on the overseas crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, which has detonated the market. The project originally set a crowdfunding goal of US$20,000, but eventually raised more than US$1.6 million, exceeding the amount by 80 times. It attracted more than 2,600 overseas supporters to snap up the product, and the order was sold out instantly.
Different from traditional mosquito repellent and mosquito killing products, Photonmatrix completely subverts the passive defense model and can be called a household micro-laser prevention and control system.
The device is equipped with an AI vision module that can accurately identify 2-20 mm targets and intelligently distinguish between humans and pets. It triggers a high-energy pulse laser within 0.003 seconds to instantly penetrate mosquito wings and shoot down up to 30 mosquitoes per second. The entire process is so fast that it is almost imperceptible to the naked eye.
It is reported that in early 2024, the mosquito detection rate within 3 meters of the product reached 97%; now the effective distance has been extended to6meters, the measurement rate is stable over 95%, and even mosquitoes with complex flying postures can be accurately captured.
As of early April this year, this product, priced at US$600-620 (equivalent to approximately RMB 4094-4230), has received more than 3,000 orders, with a cumulative amount exceeding US$2 million.
Currently, the team is working intensively to promote mass production, and the first batch of 5,000 sets of products is expected to be officially shipped this summer.
