Recently, market research organization Counterpoint Research released a smartphone application processor (AP) share report for the third quarter of 2023.MediaTek holds 33% of the global market share.The report shows,Calculated based on shipment volume,MediaTek’s shipments increased in Q3 2023,Dominates the smartphone SoC market with a 33% share.
In addition, the launch of new low-end and mid-range smartphones has also increased the shipments of MediaTek Dimensity 7000 series.
Following MediaTek is Qualcomm, which accounted for 28% of the share in the third quarter. Qualcomm's shipments in the third quarter also increased month-on-month, mainly due to the high shipments of Snapdragon 695 and Snapdragon 8Gen2.

In terms of revenue, Qualcomm dominated the entire market with a revenue share of 40% in the third quarter of 2023.This is mainly due to the adoption of Snapdragon 8Gen2 by Samsung flagship phones and Chinese manufacturers in the high-end market, driving the brand's growth.
Due to the launch of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series, Apple's share increased by 23% month-on-month, accounting for 31% of the share.
