We have previously reported that at this year's CinemaCon 2026, Sony Pictures announced that the "Legend of Zelda" live-action movie has officially been completed. The film is co-produced by Nintendo and Sony Pictures and is scheduled to be released globally on May 7, 2027.

Recently, the film's cinematographer Gyula Pardos released a photo of the clapperboard, which shows a previously unreleased artwork. In the picture, Link, played by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, is wearing a complete tunic and holding the Master Sword. This is the first time the outside world has clearly seen Link's full appearance in the film.

Nintendo has previously confirmed that Link will be played by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Princess Zelda will be played by Beau Bragason. After the film completes its theatrical release and home entertainment distribution, it will be exclusively available on the Netflix platform.

The "Legend of Zelda" live-action movie will be officially announced in 2023 and will be directed by "Maze Runner" director Wes Ball. This is Nintendo's third major film and television adaptation after "Super Mario Bros. Movie" and "Super Mario Galaxy Movie."
