An awards ceremony that was supposed to be peaceful turned into an uproar due to the violent behavior of a contestant. Last weekend, at the CAGGTUS event held in Leipzig, Germany, the two final teams of Counter-Strike 2 were invited to the podium after the game. However, while the players were taking their respective positions, a player with the ID "MAUschine" suddenly attacked the opponent's "Spidergum" - he punched the opponent in the face with such force that it even knocked off the opponent's glasses.

The live broadcast footage completely recorded this scene. The video showed that the player who was beaten looked confused, obviously not expecting to be attacked. The clip was subsequently viewed tens of thousands of times online.

According to event media reports, MAUschine's violent behavior may be related to verbal provocation in the finals. It should be pointed out that there is no cash prize for this event, and the winning team can only receive an invitation to the local LAN event next year.
The event organizers responded immediately after the incident and imposed a 10-year ban on MAUschine. At the same time, the incident has been reported to the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC).

This is not the first time in the history of e-sports that players have taken action on the field. Previously, in the "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" project, players were suspended for attacking their opponents after being eliminated.
