On April 20, at Huawei’s Pura series and all-scenario new product launch conference, the Pura 90 series of mobile phones were officially unveiled. There are three models of new phones: standard version, Pro version and Pro Max version. All series adopt a neat straight-screen design, focusing on simplicity and sophistication, starting from 4,699 yuan.

Among them, the Pro version is equipped with a 6.6-inch screen, the Pro Max version is 6.9-inch, both with a single hole-punch design; the standard version is a 6.8-inch "pill" hole-punch screen, which is expected to support front-facing red maple imaging capabilities.

In terms of design, the Pro Max version has become the biggest highlight: the industry's first two-color gradient metal middle frame, which enables the metal middle frame and the back shell to achieve a synchronous gradient effect, making the integration stronger. This model is available in five colors: Orange Sea, Emerald Lake, Sunray Purple, Morning Gold, and Obsidian Black.

The Pro version is available in four colors: pink guava, orange soda, coconut green white, and mulberry black. Both models offer four storage specifications: 12+256GB, 12+512GB, 16+512GB, and 16GB+1TB.

At the core, Pura 90 Pro and Pro Max are equipped with the Kirin 9030S chip for the first time, which is specially customized for smart imaging. AI image understanding capabilities are improved by 200%, and the AI color engine is enhanced by 43%. Telephoto video clarity is improved by 110%, and telephoto anti-shake accuracy is enhanced by 30%.

In terms of image configuration, Pura 90 Pro Max is equipped with the industry's first 200 million pixel RYYB telephoto sensor, a three-in-one super condensing prism and chip-level 200 million RAW domain real-time processing technology. The rear four-camera system of this model includes a 50-megapixel ultra-high dynamic main camera, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide angle, a 200-megapixel ultra-large bottom telephoto and a second-generation red maple primary color camera. Among them, the 200-megapixel telephoto sensor absorbs five times the light of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, supports CIPA 7.0 anti-shake level, and the module length is 20% shorter than the traditional architecture. In 20x video recording scenarios, its clarity is improved by 124%, and for the first time it supports 10-meter remote vocal enhancement.

In addition, Pura 90 Pro Max also supports an external 3.3x teleconverter, which is still highly usable at 54x telephoto and an equivalent focal length of 1296mm.

The Pura 90 Pro, which was unveiled at the same time, uses a rear three-camera design. The main camera has the same specifications as the Pro Max. The telephoto part is adjusted to a 50-megapixel super-concentrating macro telephoto. It is also equipped with a second-generation red maple primary color camera to provide image quality support in ultra-telephoto and macro scenes.

In terms of screen configuration, the Pro Max version debuts anti-reflective and scratch-resistant Kunlun glass. By combining AR anti-reflective coating on Kunlun glass, it successfully reduces screen reflection by 70%, ensuring clear display under outdoor sunlight or indoor lighting. In addition, the screen is 16 times scratch-resistant and 25 times drop-resistant, and is known as the strongest Kunlun glass in history. Officials say this model can be used without any film.

At the press conference, Huawei also launched a new XMAGE smart photography function. Supports functions such as AI pose recommendation, AI-assisted composition, 3D dynamic photos, portrait refinement, XMAGE style, and one-click movie creation. Among them, AI pose recommendation combines the platform's popular photo poses, self-developed human factor models, industry expert groups, and a 20 million training database to refresh beauty posture trends in real time. This function achieves 300ms fast response, intelligent line drawing guidance, and supports scene understanding of character characteristics, environmental characteristics, posture characteristics, prop characteristics, etc.
