The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued an emergency safety recall notice on April 16.Apex Gaming is recalling a total of 18,000 PC power supplies under its Apex and Manik brands because the products pose a risk of death or serious injury and calls on users to stop using them immediately.

This recall is not due to a performance defect in the power supply, but the lack of permanent safety warning labels on the product, which prevents users from identifying potential electric shock and electric shock hazards.

Since the internal parts of the power supply contain high-voltage electricity, the charge may still be in a live state after the power plug is unplugged. Contact with internal parts may cause serious personal injury or even death.

Apex Gaming will send affected users permanent safety label stickers that are UL certified and heat-resistant.The label is printed with warnings such as "Danger: Risk of electric shock" and "Do not attempt to open, disassemble or repair the power supply".

Users who do not want to label themselves can request to replace the entire power supply for free, but they must send it back in the original packaging.

Apex Gaming emphasizes that users are not allowed to use temporary labels or write warnings on their own. Only original labels or replacement of the entire set of products meet safety requirements.
