Windows boot disk creation tool Rufus has released version 4.14 Beta, which brings a number of major updates. The two most popular new features are the silent installation of Windows 11 and the batch removal of pre-installed applications. The silent installation function allows users to create unattended Windows 11 installation media. After the creation is completed, the boot disk will automatically detect the first disk and complete the system installation without any manual operation or confirmation. It is suitable for users who need batch deployment or pursue ultimate efficiency.

In terms of pre-installed applications, Rufus 4.14 Beta adds the option to directly disable pre-installed components such as Teams, Outlook, and Copilot when creating a startup disk.

Combined with the previously existing functions of removing hardware requirement checks, turning off BitLocker, and creating local accounts, users can now get a highly streamlined Windows 11 through Rufus.

Other improvements include:

Added option to copy SkuSiPolicy.p7b to ESP partition

Add tooltips for all dialog options

Improve the errors caused by the new version of bcdboot in the Windows To Go creation process

Fixed an error when the local account name contains spaces at the beginning and end

Improved support for Bazzite and other Fedora derivatives that do not follow the EFI specification

Improved detection and exclusion of hidden VHDs in the new version of Bitdefender.

Rufus 4.14 Beta is currently available for download in its official GitHub repository.
