At the 16th China International Road Traffic Safety Products Expo, JD Logistics officially launched the Plus version of the “Lone Wolf” sixth-generation smart delivery vehicle. As an L4 level autonomous driving unmanned delivery model, the sixth-generation smart delivery vehicle Plus version has achieved significant improvements in hardware.
The cargo box volume is expanded from 4 cubic meters to 5.5 cubic meters, the maximum load reaches 1 ton, and the full-load range can reach 180 kilometers. It can meet the distribution needs of longer distances and larger batches, and further improves the terminal fulfillment capabilities.

At the software level, the new car is equipped with a new generation of intelligent driving algorithms, the sensing range is extended to 100 meters, and the recognition of complex road conditions and traffic efficiency are greatly enhanced.
The vehicle innovatively adopts light map technology. Regular road sections rely on on-board sensors to construct real-time maps. Key sites and parking spaces use high-precision maps to ensure safety. It takes into account low-cost deployment and high-reliability operation, and solves the pain points of traditional unmanned vehicles' over-reliance on high-precision maps and high implementation costs.
At the same time, it is equipped with dual strategies of end-to-end algorithm and joint spatial and temporal decision-making and planning. It can intelligently determine the path and vehicle speed in scenarios such as unprotected intersections, mixed traffic of pedestrians and vehicles, and meeting vehicles on narrow roads, making traffic safer and smoother.

At present, JD Logistics' unmanned delivery fleet has been operating regularly in Suqian, Shenzhen, Wuhan and other places, and has also launched trial operations in Saudi Arabia. Relying on the human-machine collaboration model, it can effectively improve delivery efficiency and optimize the work experience of couriers.
According to the plan, JD Logistics will purchase 1 million unmanned vehicles in the next five years and fully invest in the full-link scenario of the supply chain.
