Hungarian Airlines’ second Airbus A330 freighter has recently arrived at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, marking a further step forward for the airline in its China-Hungary air cargo layout. According to reports, the aircraft with Hungarian registration number HA-ZTO arrived in Budapest on Friday evening. It was flown from Chengdu to the Hungarian capital by the company's chief pilot, Captain László Eschenbach, and co-pilot Gergely Mendrey. It is worth noting that the aircraft painting comes from ZTO Express.

According to reports, the aircraft is an A330-200P2F model, which is a cargo aircraft converted from a passenger aircraft. The modification work was completed by the Elbe Aircraft Manufacturing Plant in Dresden, Germany. After a long period of preliminary preparations and completion of relevant procedures under the continuous supervision of the Hungarian civil aviation regulatory agency, the aircraft has officially obtained Hungarian nationality registration qualifications.
The aircraft will be operated on behalf of China ZTO Express and was previously in service with Air China.
According to current arrangements, this second A330 freighter is expected to be put into commercial operation in early May and officially operate cargo flights between China and Hungary. The report pointed out that this also means that Hungarian Airlines has taken a substantial step in expanding air cargo capabilities between China and Europe. In the future, it is expected to further improve the efficiency of cargo circulation and route support capabilities between the two countries.
