On April 28, after repeated measurements and verifications, the Huajiang Gorge Bridge in Guizhou was officially entered into the Guinness Book of World Records as the "tallest bridge". At the certification ceremony, Guinness World Records official certifier Luo Qiong announced on the spot: "The final confirmed height of the Huajiang Gorge Bridge is 626.01 meters, exceeding the original world record of 565.4 meters. The challenge was successful!"

This height is equivalent to 209 ordinary residential floors and is nearly twice as tall as the Eiffel Tower in Paris (324 meters).

It is worth mentioning that the height data of the bridge certified this time are all supported by China’s surveying and mapping technology, and the domestic Beidou positioning equipment selected has helped Chinese mountaineers reach the summit of Mount Everest.

The bridge is located at the junction of Guanling County, Anshun City, Guizhou Province and Zhenfeng County, Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in southwest Guizhou Province. It is a key control project of the Liuzhi-Anlong Expressway.

As a steel truss suspension bridge, its main span is 1,420 meters, the bridge deck is 34 meters wide, and it is designed to be a two-way six-lane bridge. It will be officially completed and opened to traffic on September 28, 2025.

According to previous research by industry insiders, the main bridge span and bridge height of this steel truss suspension bridge are unprecedented, and it is known as "the best in the world both vertically and horizontally".

This time, the Huajiang Gorge Bridge surpassed the Beipanjiang First Bridge (formerly known as Beipanjiang Bridge), also located in Guizhou. The latter was certified by Guinness in 2018, with a vertical distance of 565.4 meters from the bridge deck to the river surface.

and,Seven of the ten bridges with the highest decks in the world are in China, and they are all located in mountainous areas in the southwest, fully demonstrating the outstanding ability of China's infrastructure to overcome complex terrains..
