According to Bobandang’s latest revelation,NVIDIA RTX 3060 12GB series chips will resume production in June this year, and related chips will arrive soon. This batch of chips is mainly distributed to various AIC brand manufacturers. It is expected that around July, major brands will start mass production of graphics cards based on this chip and gradually launch spot products to the market.
Major AIC brands such as Colorful, Asus, MSI, and GALAXY will all be allocated a certain amount of supply, but the specific quotas of each company are different, and the overall supply volume is relatively limited.
RTX 3060 12GB is one of the highest-selling graphics card series in NVIDIA's history. With its large 12GB video memory and excellent cost performance, it has always had a solid user base in the 1080P and 2K gaming markets.
This resumption of production is not a simple inventory clearance, but NVIDIA's strategic adjustment to the current market demand. In the price range of 2,000-2,500 yuan, consumers have particularly urgent demand for a graphics card with stable performance, sufficient video memory and reasonable price.
However, from a cost perspective, the material cost of the RTX 3060 12GB is relatively high, and the terminal pricing is not expected to be too low. Compared with the RTX 5050 and 5060, the resumed RTX 3060 12GB has certain disadvantages in terms of cost performance and absolute performance.
Taken together, the re-entry of this batch of RTX 3060 12G will alleviate the supply pressure in the mid-to-low-end graphics card market to a certain extent.
If the terminal pricing is reasonable and the market response is good, NVIDIA does not rule out the possibility of considering resuming production of more classic models; conversely, if the market response is cold, it may accelerate NVIDIA's comprehensive transition to a new generation of products.
