Last night, Chumi Technology CEO Yu Hao responded positively to the recent controversial issue of "requiring all employees to open social media accounts." He made it clear that the core purpose of this move is to train employees' comprehensive capabilities and help the team maintain a competitive advantage in the AI era, and announced that cash rewards have been cashed to the first batch of employees who achieved the goal.

According to an internal notice, Yu Hao requires the company's more than 20,000 employees to open accounts on major social media platforms, and requires each person to invest 15 minutes a day in filming videos and publish three pieces of content every day, mainly focusing on product selling points, core technologies and innovation points. Yu Hao believes that although technical personnel are good at handling complex parameters, they generally have shortcomings in popular expression and user communication. By operating personal accounts, employees can learn how to "speak human language", translate esoteric technologies into language that is easy for the public to understand, and obtain feedback during interactions.
In order to cooperate with the advancement of the plan, Zhumi Technology has established a clear incentive mechanism: when the number of real fans of employees reaches 10,000, 50,000 and 100,000, they will receive cash rewards of 10,000 yuan, 50,000 yuan and 100,000 yuan respectively. Yu Hao revealed through social platforms that two employees have received bonuses of 10,000 yuan each because their number of fans exceeded 10,000.

In response to the outside world's doubts about "all-employee marketing" and "micro-business", Yu Hao countered that in the AI era, a single ability can easily be replaced, and only talents with cross-domain capabilities can more effectively control complex systems. He emphasized that the company does not simply reward high number of fans, but values employees' ability to express and interact on top of their original professional skills. He called on the outside world not to rush to deny this seemingly unreasonable request, believing that this is a necessary attempt to enhance the overall competitiveness of the enterprise.
