Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick recently admitted that he is facing tremendous pressure in preparing for the release of "GTA6". He said there are nerves associated with any game launch, but this time the pressure is much greater.

"I get really nervous about every launch, and this time, multiply that by a billion," Zelnick said at the Interactive Innovation Conference.
Zelnick believes that a lack of tension is a red flag for professionals. Once a creator is no longer afraid of failure, it’s time to leave the industry. In his view, being overconfident before actually winning is a sure path to mistakes.

"I think when you don't feel that fear anymore, you'd better find another job... because if you claim success before you've achieved your goals, you're probably wrong," Zelnick said.
Still, Zelnick remains optimistic. He believes in the unique teams at the company's studios. His winning strategy is to find the best people and give them full freedom and unlimited resources - whether financial, creative, technical or human resources - to realize their vision.
The key to success, Zelnick concluded, is a balance between art and commerce: while developers create, the company handles logistics and promotion. He believed that creative independence was the cornerstone of success and that management's job was to support this mechanism rather than create drama and unnecessary disruption.
"GTA6" is still planned to be released on PS5 and Xbox Series platforms in the fall of 2026.
