Sony has raised the price of its official refurbished PS5 Slim, covering both the optical drive version and the digital version without an optical drive. The PlayStation Store has simultaneously updated the price change. The price adjustment information of Sony’s officially certified refurbished PS5 Slim was first discovered by player HazzadorGamin. The change has been confirmed on the store page.

Among them, the price of the officially certified refurbished PS5 optical drive version console has been raised from US$449.99 to US$549.99, and the price of the officially certified refurbished PS5 digital version console has been raised from US$399.99 to US$499.99.

At the end of March 2026, Sony had just completed the price increase for all new PS5 consoles. Previously, official refurbished models were an option for players to save on purchase costs: they only had to bear the slight risk of a second-hand machine, and they could buy an officially certified console with all parts intact and available at a lower price than a brand-new model.

Across the board, Sony has raised the price of the official refurbished PS5 Slim

The price increase of refurbished phones this time means that even the originally more affordable models have been affected by the overall price increase in the technology industry and the tight supply chain.
