With the popularity of the Marvel drama "The Mandalorian" and the upcoming release of the independent movie "The Mandalorian and Gu Gu", Gu Gu, who was first shown as "The Child" in the series and later affectionately called Baby Yoda by fans on the Internet, has now been launched by Disney as a lifelike toy, but the price is a bit shocking: as high as $600.
Recently, Disney released "Ultimate Grogu", a new interactive Baby Yoda toy. Obviously, Disney wants to take advantage of the release of the independent film "The Mandalorian and the Ancients" and the upcoming Star Wars Day (May 4).
Disney and Hasbro describe the new "Ultimate Goo" toy as a "first-of-its-kind" bionic mechanical doll that features more than 250 "animations and sound effects" and comes with a variety of modes and accessories.
"Our goal with Ultimate Goo Goo is to make fans feel like he's truly stepping into his own world," Adam Beall, head of Disney Action Brands at Hasbro, said in a press release. "Our design and development teams spent a lot of time working on The Mandalorian. "The look of Coo in the series strives to perfectly recreate Coo in a way that captures the essence of Lucasfilm while also capturing his personality and movement. Leveraging our long-standing partnership with Disney Consumer Products, we have created the most realistic, interactive and expressive Coo that Hasbro has ever created."

The editor of foreign media Kotaku said that although he is a die-hard fan of "Star Wars" and also likes Master Yoda, the problem is that the purchasing power of US$600 in 2026 is far less than before - the prices of games, computers, gasoline and food are all rising. "It really doesn't arouse much interest for me to spend US$600 to buy an interactive "Baby Yoda" that may become dusty after playing for a few days."
Ultimate Goku is now available for pre-order on Hasbro’s official store, Amazon and fan channels. It will be available in two versions: the standard version will be launched in 2027, and the limited-time special edition with unique packaging will be launched in 2026.
