According to foreign media MP1st, Sony’s next-generation console PS6 will significantly increase the storage speed. PS6 may debut new cloud gaming technology when it launches. In addition, the cloud streaming function and compatibility with PS5 games may alleviate players' concerns about high upgrade costs.
Although many previous rumors about PS6 have focused on hardware specifications, cloud gaming is also a top priority. MP1st pointed out that Sony has been investing heavily in server technology over the past three years and optimizing its infrastructure by adopting PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD. It is rumored that PS6 will also be equipped with the same type of hard drive.

If the PS6 is expensive, the life cycle of the PS5 may be further extended. MP1st has learned that Sony is already developing 2D and 3D assets for both PS5 and PS6 generations.
