Recently, another suspected iPhone Ultra model appeared in the latest video of the YouTube channel Unbox Therapy, showing the appearance design of this rumored folding iPhone from multiple angles in a hands-on form. The iPhone Ultra model has been leaked many times before, including a side-by-side comparison with the real Huawei Pura X Max. This video further gives the outside world a more intuitive understanding of its shape.

Judging from the video, this iPhone Ultra model adopts a very "untraditional" body proportion, which is very similar to the Huawei Pura X Max, which also takes the "narrow and long folding tablet" route. Although the specific size of the model machine does not yet fully match the previously leaked parameters, based on multiple rounds of leaked information, it can be roughly determined that the overall shape of the iPhone Ultra production version will be close to this display.

The overall size of the iPhone Ultra when unfolded is slightly smaller than the iPad mini, but it also adopts a horizontal form close to a tablet rather than a folding ratio closer to a square. This design choice is considered to be closely related to the interactive experience at the system level: in the unfolded state, the device is expected to invoke an iPad-like horizontal tablet UI, rather than the "near-square" interface layout common on folding devices. This may mean that Apple is planning a set of exclusive interaction logic for Ultra that is more biased towards horizontal screen, multi-tasking and large-screen content display.

This is one of the key reasons why Apple chose this unique folding form: while keeping the body foldable and portable, it maximizes the available area after unfolding and provides a horizontal UI that is more in line with tablet usage habits, rather than making too many compromises between the folded form and the tablet form. Under this idea, iPhone Ultra will be more like a "foldable mini iPad mobile version" rather than just a foldable variant of the existing straight iPhone.

In terms of product positioning, iPhone Ultra is almost certain to become the most expensive iPhone model in Apple’s history. According to the current supply chain and leak rhythm, the machine is expected to be officially released in September this year and will be launched for sale before the end of the year. As more models and accessories are exposed, the design outline of the iPhone Ultra has gradually become clearer. Next, the focus of the outside world will turn to its folding hinge solution, screen durability, and functional differentiation from the existing iPhone product line.
