Nintendo announced in its fiscal year 2026 financial report released today that cumulative sales of Nintendo Switch 2 have reached 19.86 million units in the first full fiscal year after its global launch, showing a strong market start.

Data shows that Switch2 has maintained a stable sales momentum throughout the fiscal year, and the shipments in each quarter are: TAG PH10

Nintendo stated that the actual sales of Switch2 in its first full fiscal year after its launch have exceeded the performance of the original Switch in the same period. If the original Switch family is included, Nintendo sold a total of 23.66 million units of hardware throughout the fiscal year.

Driven by the launch of new hardware and strong software sales, Nintendo’s dedicated game platform business revenue reached 2.23 trillion yen. The company's overall consolidated net sales nearly doubled year-on-year to 2.31 trillion yen, and operating profit increased 27.5% year-on-year to 360.1 billion yen.
In terms of software, Switch2 platform games sold a total of 48.71 million copies in fiscal year 2026. Among them:
