When Zoe Rule asked for a sci-fi themed wedding, her father, John Chapman, did not choose to buy ready-made props online, but decided to "hand-make everything". As a senior prop and model maker who is good at making full-size Daleks and Cybermen, for his daughter’s wedding to be held in Wiltshire on May 4, 2026, he retired for two years and personally polished all the armors, dresses and life-size robot models.
The most shocking thing is the K-2SO robot in "Rogue One" - this life-size model made by John himself "stands" directly in front of the altar and serves as the master of ceremonies for the entire wedding.

An audio-visual feast spanning the galaxy
According to foreign media reports, the bride Zoe was stunning when she appeared: she wore a modified wedding dress that incorporated elements of Sabine Wren from "Star Wars: Rebels", wore a helmet and held a blaster. The father, John, wore a hand-made replica of Boba Fettmandalore's armor and accompanied his daughter on the red carpet.

The wedding scene looked like a science fiction film set: rows of Daleks stood on both sides; among the family members, the sister transformed into Padmé Amidala, and the brother played Pedro Pascal's version of the Mandalorian. The groomsmen were no less generous. The groomsmen wore a full set of Spartan armor from "Halo", and some guests even wore demon armor from "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim", putting on a gorgeous sci-fi crossover show.
Talking about her father, Zoe said emotionally: "He has invested so much effort, time and talent. Not only these armors, but also the K-2SO robot, each one has been polished by him little by little over the past two years. I really have nothing to repay."
Zoe’s relationship with science fiction actually started from birth. As early as 1996, as a baby, she was held in the arms of Tom Baker, the fourth Doctor in Doctor Who, at a BBC charity event. When the two reunited 18 years later, the veteran movie star still remembered the scene.
The groom, Mithiyis, felt extremely happy about this day. He said with emotion: "I feel like I have flown to the moon now. I can't imagine a more perfect wedding than this."
In fact, Star Wars fans have a long tradition of getting dressed up at weddings. In 2024, a couple became famous online for adding a $700 Lego Star Wars set to their wedding wish list. In the end, they even received tickets to the premiere of "Waiter" from the official "Star Wars" gift.
