Although summer is still more than a month away, it does appear that Rockstar is preparing to announce some content in the near future. A good example came out today: PlayStation suddenly started contacting PS4 owners to remind them to prepare for the game's release.
According to Twitter user GTAVI_Countdown, many PS4 players said they received direct messages from PlayStation, which read, "Get PlayStation 5 immediately to prepare for the release of "GTA6"." One version of the message mentioned that the reminder was sent because the player had added "GTA 6" to the wish list; another version said that it was because the user was "a top player of "GTA 5"".
Most importantly, this may be the strongest evidence yet that the November release date of "GTA6" has been basically confirmed. It is worth noting that PlayStation did not mention this game in the 2026 game summary before, but now it is obviously more confident about the game's release time, so it has begun to proactively remind players to prepare.
Combined with all the other news surrounding GTA 6 over the past few weeks, some are even taking this PlayStation email as a sign that new news about the game is imminent. I would like to remind all players who are looking forward to it to be rational, but this is indeed the moment when the game announcement is most likely to begin in a long time.
