Previously, a Mother's Day promotion copy posted on OPPO's official Weibo account was criticized by netizens for being accused of stereotypes or inappropriate expressions. On the afternoon of May 8, OPPO issued an apology statement, saying that the original intention of the creation was to present a more diverse and three-dimensional image of mothers, such as loving marathons, immersed in writing, or having a hobby of chasing stars. OPPO stated that it has immediately removed all relevant materials from the shelves and will comprehensively review the content review mechanism.



Some netizens questioned that although OPPO's apology statement mentioned "carefully listening to criticism from all parties", it turned on the comment selection function and limited user feedback. Duan Yongping responded again: "Even so, this copywriting is still inappropriate. I believe everyone will learn a lesson."
