Recently, FIFA has significantly increased ticket prices for the 2026 World Cup finals. The tickets for the best available seats in the finals have tripled the original price, with the unit price as high as US$32,970 (equivalent to approximately RMB 224,000). This price increase is for the World Cup finals to be held on July 19. Officials have designated these high-priced tickets as "first-tier priority" seats. The original first-tier ticket price of US$10,990 is now only available for wheelchairs and barrier-free areas. Ordinary spectators can no longer purchase the best viewing seats at this price.

The overall ticket price of this World Cup remains high, especially in the knockout stages.

Ticket prices for both semifinals exceeded 10,000 US dollars. The highest ticket price for the semifinals in Texas on July 14 was US$11,130, and the highest ticket price for the semifinals in Atlanta on July 15 was US$10,635.

The ticket prices for the opening game and the group matches in which the US team participated are equally expensive, with the highest price exceeding US$2,700. Ordinary fans who want to watch the game live have to bear high costs.

The phenomenon of high ticket prices is even more exaggerated on official resale platforms.

Ticket prices for the finals range from US$8,970 to tens of millions of US dollars. Previously, there were even sky-high ticket prices exceeding US$2.29 million, and even the upper stands were marked with high prices.

FIFA does not control resale platform pricing, but will charge a 15% fee to both buyers and sellers, further pushing up the cost of tickets for fans.

This substantial price increase has triggered heated discussions from the outside world. Many fans believe that the World Cup is gradually becoming an event only for the rich.

As the event approaches, the hype in the ticket market is still intensifying, making it increasingly difficult for ordinary fans to witness the peak showdown in person.
