According to the website of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the responsibilities of the Low Altitude Safety Department include:Drafting a low-altitude civil aviation development plan, coordinating low-altitude safety and development, and building a low-altitude flight service dispatch platform and low-altitude flight service station system.
In recent years, low-altitude flight, drone navigation, low-altitude cultural tourism, urban air travel and other industries have emerged rapidly, and the industry is becoming more and more popular. However, there are also problems such as scattered supervision, chaotic flight order, and many safety hazards.
The formal establishment of the Low-Altitude Safety Department means that the domestic low-altitude field now has a dedicated department in charge, and its powers and responsibilities are clearer.
